USF was always designed to not be static. When they're fighting from heavy cover, the cover often gets destroyed before the unit does. The Obersoldaten have (from my observation) the highest defence value of any infantry unit. I've turned the tide of many engagements with them. They can be dropped almost anywhere on the map and have impressive firepower. I've seen a lot of hate for the incendiary grenade, but I personally prefer them to frag grenades, because incendiary grenades can burn enemy structures. The Volksgrenadiere are subpart, for the most part, but they have a nice incendiary grenade. If the Kübelwagen can gain 1 star of veterancy, then it gains a nice radar ability that can detect enemy units and display them on the minimap. I like the Kübelwagen because it can quickly drive around the map and steal undefended points. Unfortunately, they're expensive to produce and replace. I like how the Sturmpioneere are combat engineers that have assault rifles, a panzershrek, can place mutli-use medkits, and mines. However, the buildings provide various abilities and advantages for your units on the front line. It's riskier because those buildings can be more easily found and destroyed. I like how the building structure involves building within the combat zone, instead of next to your headquarters.
